Zoning is used by a government to control the use of land and direct the development of land within their borders. It is an integral part of the land development process. This course is intended to familiarize the student with a basic understanding of how governments use zoning as a land planning tool by examining the different types of regulated land uses and the components of a zoning ordinance.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
